Who am I? Someone with a passion for what she does, most likely like you, dear reader. I'm currently a Game Analytics Engineer at Keen Software House , working on Space Engineers and I'm more motivated than ever. I have undertaken this path primarily out of curiosity: I wanted to understand whether it was possible to make a living out of a passion. It turned out that it is even better than I thought it to be. It is incredibly challenging and, most of the time, it feels like it's impossible to make it through. However, that's part of its beauty, isn't it? Who doesn't like a job that continuously tests you? The best part is that it gives you the chance to entertain with creative people who have a strong opinion and enjoy sharing their knowledge.
Enrica Loria is a Game Analytics Engineer at Keen Software House . She has a BSc and MSc in Computer Science from the University of Salerno (Italy) and a Ph.D. from the University of Trento (Italy). She approached game development the first time during her Bachelor thesis. She then continued in her Master thesis, developed during a 6-month visiting period at the University of Skovde (Sweden). In her Ph.D. project, she got interested in Adaptive Gamification, as well as the analysis of players' individual and social behaviors. She, then, worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the GameLabGraz (TU Graz, Austria) combining her interests in Game Analytics, Social Network Analysis, Games User Research, and Adaptive Gameplay.
